We'll here we are. I first off want to welcome you to my blog! I'm so excited to start Guzik & Co. If ya'll haven't read the about section on my website then, I am going to give you a more in-depth story of how this call came to be. First off, if ya'll don't know me, my name is Gabriella Guzik. I am from Latrobe, Pa. About a year ago I started my first big girl job after graduating college. From the start, I found out that my job wasn't going to be easy. Now that I have been working, I have learned that it never gets easier. But I have managed to keep my sanity... so far LOL. Well, with this jobs comes a lot of stories.

Most of my family enjoy to hear the stores I bring home with me on the daily. One person who especially loved them was my Nanny. My Nanny was one of the most loving, caring, and in all other words one of the best human beings you could ever meet. Anyone and everyone who had the chance to meet or talk to her left with love in their hearts and a smile on their face. My Nanny over the recent years started to have some health problems. She never let anyone see her in pain. She was always the same happy and loving Nanny every single time you met her. Since I worked a lot, I tried to go visit when I could, but facetime was always our go to almost every day. She loved my stories. If I had recently went shopping she loved when I showed her what I got. She called it my "show and tell". She always understood me, never judged, never had anything but love for me, as well as the rest of her family. This past march, she started to get really sick. In and out of hospitals took a toll on her as well as my entire family. She grew very tried and passed away on March 6th. Although we were all heartbroken we have sort of found a sense of peace knowing she's back with God.

She told us to always to continue to pray for her and she would always do the same. Before she left us she said she would send signs from heaven. Those being either butterflies, dimes, or specific smells. Feeling like I lost my entire world I tried to find something to busy myself with. While scrolling through Tiktok one day, I watched as someone was making bars of soap. I thought it looked super interesting and fun so I took a deep drive into Pintrest. After being on that app for hours as well, I decided that I wanted to try. So there I went, to my amazon app. Lets just say I went a little overboard with the amount of things I ordered (Mom and Dad if you are reading this I'm sorry for turning our house into a post office). The first soap I made were these little white bars of soap with playing car emblem embeds with the scent of cucumber melon. I made them to try and bring back memories of playing cards with Nanny. Playing cards was on of her favorite things to do (also that lovely lady LOVED her coffee). They didn't look the best but I decided to give them to my Pap-Pap (Nanny's husband). He, as well as the rest of my family loved them. Many of them asking if I could make some for them. So again, back to amazon, ordering more and more supplies. Also just an FYI these products are not cheap and I had to keep checking my bank account worried I over did it. Hours and hours of Pintrest gave me even more ideas on products I could make. After a bunch of test runs, I decided that I truly loved making these product and it wasn't a distracton anymore. It became more of a remembrance hobby. I know my Nanny is looking down and smiling that I finally found something that makes me happy. So with that I went to my parents and told them I wanted to start my business. That why we are here now. I have the best and most supportive parents in the whole wide world. Without them none of this would even be possible. I cannot wait for all of ya'll to enjoy the products we come out with. I hope to also attend events and sell out of smaller shops. But as my mom tells me, don't get to far over your head. So were starting small and seeing where this takes us! From my parents kitchen, which is where we plan to stay, to you. Talk to you guys soon! I love you Nanny, thump thump from my hear to yours.
